SHAPING BEHAVIOUR, STRENGTHENING BONDS
MY APPROACH
Having worked as a trainer in dog rescue for the last 3 and a half years, I understand how stressful - and potentially dangerous - a dog's behavioural issues can be.

I believe that a calm, engaged and resilient dog is a happy dog and my training approach centres on harnessing a strong relationship between dog and owner, in order to achieve just that.

Whether you are due to bring home a puppy, adopt a rescue dog, or you are currently struggling with your dog's behaviours, my goal is to help you to enjoy your dog, so that you can experience a harmonious life together. I cover Manchester, Cheshire & surrounding areas.

My journey in dog training began with Bryn, my Staffy mix, who I adopted in 2020. He struggled with dog aggression and intense separation anxiety and, like many dog owners, I initially struggled to understand his behavioural challenges.

ABOUT ME

First aid trained and a qualified behaviourist (IMDT), I am currently participating in a mentorship programme with Paws A Minute and LM-K9 Dog Training, based in Reading, as I am committed to furthering my personal development journey.
Having previously volunteered at Street Hearts BG (a street dog shelter in Bulgaria), my career began in 2021 when I was appointed to the role of Street Hearts' Shelter Manager. Soon after, I began specialising in dog training - rehabilitating hundreds of the shelter's rescue dogs. Preparing these dogs for new homes in Bulgaria and the UK gave me invaluable insights into dog behaviour, communication, and the unique challenges faced by adopters and dog owners.
Having been through the adoption process myself and having supported hundreds of new 'dog parents', I understand the importance of building a strong, trusting relationship with your dog.

Since returning to the UK, in November 2024, I have been supporting owners - with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds - with their training needs.
At Refine K9, I offer a range of services:
